IKEA coffee table hack – reclaimed pallet wood cover

When you rent a apartment and you sometimes don’t want to rely on the furniture that is there. You can’t give the furniture back as it came with the flat and the landlord would not agree to that but you want it to look different, be more in your style. Over years of living in rented accommodation I figured out many ways of adding my personal touch to the rented furniture – obviously without making permanent changes to the furniture pieces.

One of them below – an IKEA coffee table cover. What you need to make it is a saw, hammer, some nails sand paper and wood wax. The wood is from reclaimed pallets. It is reply important to dry the pallets before using them. Otherwise if they are still damp the planks might become skewed and the table surface not even.
